He’s the type of person who has to be the smartest person in the room which makes the entire room really dumb. True leaders surround themselves with people smarter than themselves and listen to the advice given.

I think it's even stupider than that.

He already knows he's the ~~bigliest~~ smartest person in the room. There for anyone who disagrees with his is obviously ~~very bad~~ stupid, so he ~~tells them they not very nice~~ removes them.
