literally no one cares. leagues can have their tests if they desire, but this kind of regulation would likely disqualify cis women. point is everyone who makes this an issue invariably has never given a shit about women's sports

That's the problem, how do you make sure there's no cheating?

Athletes are being tested for signs or taking extra test all the time. But how do you decide what the minimum estrogen level is? Or otherwise, how else do you prove the trans woman is consistently weakened enough for it to be a fair challenge?

I do agree it should ideally be up to the leagues and not a national level political decision, but there are so many different sports, that's a lot of people that have to worry about the same problem.

So again, be easier to just let them have their own leagues. They wouldn't fare very well in the unrestricted gender leagues (known as men's leagues for a good reason) either.

no one worries about it. this "physical fairness" ideal is utterly imaginary. sports are inherently unfair. no one starts from an equal standing in sports. clearly height is an advantage in basletball. do you think basketball needs height classes? Messi is celebrated around the world as the best player in football, maybe one of the best athletes ever. should he be banned from football for having taken growth hormones from age 11? do you think phelps has regular lungs?

sports are not fair, and they never have been, and it seems like i can't stress this enough, NO ONE CARES.

this is just a convenient bullshit ideal people only apply when trans people are involved. because it's easier to sell that to normies than just saying they should be removed from public life altogether. but this is an entry point. they tried this with marriage when it was about gay people.

Why don't we just allow men (I mean actual men, not trans women) in women's sports then?

I honestly doubt anyone's going to change gender just to become a pro athlete, but for an actual trans athlete, what's stopping her from reducing her estrogen intake for the competition season? That's essentially the same as doping IMO.

well it's largely because women weren't allowed to participate in anything until less than one lifetime ago. and when they were allowed, they were segregated.

for your second question, again, no one really gives a shit when this stuff happens to cis men, but just to humor the disingenuous interest, you'd stop her by requiring approved doctors to monitor such things.
