How does that work exactly? The advertiser tells platform not to display heir ads next to content with "fuck" in it because they are scared someone will screenshot it and accuse them of promoting indecency or something? I get it that for example a gun manufacturer would want to avoid displaying their ads next to content about suicide but who would be bothered by content with "fuck" in it? Other than maybe some kid brands.

Pretty much but less direct. It's generally all grouped together by advertisers as 'problematic content'. It's quite rare for platforms to get very direct feedback so they cast a very wide net.
