One of the top reasons I jailbroke my phone. I have like three tweaks whose sole job is to get rid of as many animations/fades as possible.

In general I like animations quite a lot. They look nice and show the user what’s happening (if done well).

But sometimes they just get in the way and are annoying. Maybe they sped up how shortcuts runs on iOS 17, but it definitely looks like they just had a shit animation before and replaced it with a much better one.

There's a setting on android where you van change the speed of the animations and even disable them. No need to root it.

There’s also a "reduce motion" setting under accessibility on iOS. It skips most of the animations or converts them to a fade in/out. Not sure if it speeds up anything though.

It doesn’t. It just trades one animation for another.
