Too late. It's pretty much required nowadays in most regions (not something I agree with, people who don't want computers should be able to choose to entertain themselves in other ways). Computing is now the only established way to have pointless arguments with people around the globe. Also the only established way to attend school in lots of places. It's really difficult to have homemade computing without first "lightly disestablishing" the silicon companies holding trade secrets.

It isn't too late to resist LLMs.

Then we've reached the salient point of contention: I think it was too late to resist LLMs as soon as the LLMs were made publicly available. There's no putting the genie back into the bottle. No way to close Pandora's box. It's as wishful of thinking as saying it's not too late to resist cryptocurrency. Even if you got 99% of people to boycott it, so long as the 1% still exists it's not going away.
