There's a theory that they are trying a different anti-cheat, but I really don't know.
I miss the days of server-side anti-cheat.
I've returned a few games because of KLAC, if it pops up demanding I install spyware I'm out, which really only hurt for Star Citizen.
Pretty annoying if true. I preordered with the idea that I could refund if the beta didn't work. It worked great so I was happy to wait for release but now it looks like I'll have to refund after all.
Don’t preorder.
I was thinking the same thing. He did claim they are working on it, so I might wait for release before refunding. I bought it to have access to the beta though so I'll still be pissed either way.
The game doesn't release Sept 10th, it enters early access.
During early access the devs encourage people to refund if they don't like it.
You just have to wait the same amount of time as you thought you would yesterday.
Calm the fuck down, and if you didn't know any of that, you didn't pre-order "with an idea" you did it with an assumption after not putting in any effort or you'd have known that.
if you want money for your product you are releasing it... the EA shit is just there so companies can have 2 big reveal advertisments
