A boycott of 50% is as unlikely as 100%. People eating regularly at McDonald’s aren’t in a position to just stop eating at McDonald’s all the time. Boycotts sound nice. I get it. They just don’t work.
Well sure. But if you’ve somehow managed to get enough people to put in the same effort and make the same sacrifices together, then maybe you should do more with that insane achievement than just not buy things together. Like, if everyone made an effort and just fucking VOTED on the one day every four years (or two) when it mattered most, you’d also solve a lot of problems. That’s proven impossible for literally decades. But we’re gonna stick it to ‘em by just making our own lives even shittier, en masse, on the off chance some billionaire might be given a memo about a sales dip?
