Technically yes. The other hand speaks of Instagram (and similar sites) toying the "walled garden" scenario. A lemmy sentiment holds lemmy users to "it's better here, we should consume better also".
IMHO, Instagram can loophole a "view on web instead" as they wish. But experience says Meta\Instagram continuously use harsh anti-adblocking tactics that are exhausting -- pushing user-end people to do the bad stuff (installing).
The true source was a tv show. But someone found a youtube link to the exact video. A slight slight lesser evil ๐.
