I’m really confused. Is that post by the mods saying the Melb subreddit can only be used for things regarding Melbourne, Florida (USA) intended to be sarcastic?

Yeah I'm hoping folks stick around here with the DT. I know it's back on r/melbourne, but I like you folks, I don't want to deal with Reddits bullshit atm.
Yeah a lot of subs are going contrarian to continue the protest. Only fans became no fans (pc heating solutions with no fans) and some big porn sub became a Christian Minecraft server. reddit seem to want to double down so I’ve no issue with them sticking it to the man!
I can't wait to see what happens on r/spitroast 😉

oh wow, they have voted to only have posts about Melbourne (Florida)! They were ordered by Reddit to reopen or be replaced, looks like the r/pic example is being followed.
It says they asked the community tho…but the subreddit had been locked and there’s no poll. Unless it was on discord.

Yeah I want to get on board with the “stick it to the man” vibe but the loss of the DT with no warning after I merrily logged off/deleted the app thinking I’d be back and “seeing” everyone in a few days was genuinely distressing. Mildly distressing but I was still upset to lose a place I had been going to multiple times daily for a year with zero warning. I have been so confused with the lack of clarity and the confusing post they’ve just put up that is very ironically lacking in accessibility/clarity.
Yeah, I feel this. The DT is a great social connection & was pretty anxious about it just disappearing. 🖤

Yeah, my impression is that the mods hand/s has been forced, and they’re just being childish about it.
It’s malicious compliance as a form of protest. Many other subs are doing it as well.
I really don’t think they took an actual vote amongst those who subscribe.
