This is like why css is totally counter intuitive to engineers since it’s based on hundreds years old printing / typesetting concepts.

It most definitely is not. The problem with CSS is precisely that it was invented by engineers who did not understand hundred years old printing / typesetting concepts.

The problem is the original post is usually looking for a fact not an opinion
