No, because the white queen is actively putting the black king in check.
That's a queen, got it. I'm on mobile and they both looked like kings. Thanks for the explanation.
Black can't move either way, so it's check mate.
If black can't move and they're not in check, it's not checkmate; it's stalemate. But OP clarified that the white piece is a queen and not a king, and that's what makes it checkmate, since she is checking the king.
Oh well, I have been playing this game all wrong then.
Thought that was a king. Thought it was a stalemate as well
