I’m very torn and don’t have a lot of money to spend. It would be my first Apple Watch and I plan on using it primarily at work so I don’t have to worry about my phone being out on the floor.

Same here, got the SE 2 in September. I didn't need the ECG, Body Temp, Fast Charge, AOD (I guess it could be nice on nights out or in the car), or the Flick Type. In fact, the omission of flick type made me more comfortable with dictation. Also a battery replacement is basically a full device replacement, so the prices to "refresh" for a new battery, screen, & case is a nice offer imo.
