Is 8 gigs of ram really that bad? Priced at $2099 CAD. I want to get it but I’ve come across a crap ton of threads saying 8 gigs of ram for a “pro model” is not enough. I’m a light user, will only use it for university, no coding, no video editing, just general use. But then again we go back to the whole situation, is 8 gigs really not enough for this workload? The main selling point for me is the better display over the 15” Air which I was also thinking about and the thing is, they offer 8 gigs of ram for that one too… Which one should I pick? (Coming from a windows user)

$2099 is a robbery
8 gigs is enough for basic use
holy shit my m1 with 8 gigs doing casul web browsing is freezing up my device
go with the m2 air for a cheaper option
