“AirTag detected near you” but I don’t own an AirTag (alien.top)

I live on a college campus and tonight I got like 5 notifications in a row after going to a club meeting saying that an AirTag was detected near me. I clicked on the notification, and it was tracking my location from my meeting to the dorm. Is this just a glitch? I’m a young woman so I’m just a tad worried and my parents aren’t helping 😭 I wouldn’t really think much of it but the walk was like 15 mins and it kept track the whole way

:/ the people in your club probably have airtags and also live at the dorms. There are false positives when new tags are noticed in your vicinity. It’ll happen again the next club meeting. You have the option to ring it when the notification pops up next time. If you can’t hear it then it’s at someone else’s room. No worries
