I rather iPadOS on Mac and they develop iPadOS to be more capable and reliable.

Yeah I’d rather see iPadOS expand to something like a dedicated laptop or a dedicated tiny desktop form factor (Apple TV box?) than see MacOS attempt to be a touch OS.

There's no reason they can't do both. In March when you can sideload on iPads in Europe someone probably will.
