Damn, disappointed his favourite movie is anti-union drivel (on the waterfront) from a hack who threw people under the bus for HUAC.

I never heard of Kazan until now but he does sound like an asshole.

Still, I always liked Guzman and he seems like a very chill, real dude here. Hopefully he likes the film for other reasons than Kazan's politics, although now I'm interested to watch it for myself. But I'll check out Ballad and Cooley High based off his recommendation too!

Guzman is a Bernie guy, so while not a socialist I also doubt he's a fervent anti-communist. I imagine likes it for the craft and didn't really notice the anti-union tropes. Re: Balland and Cooley high, they're on my list now too.
