Lemmy PS5 mod here. Console warring is not allowed over on lemmy.ml/c/ps5. I've had a stray comment or 2 about starfield vs final fantasy, but the community voted it down so I didn't intervene. If it gets bad I will not hesitate to take action. We are all gamers, and we should all be celebrating gaming. Personally I play on PS5, Switch, and PC/steam deck.

As for the merger news, articles are allowed to be posted on my community as long as they are playstation related. I think making a discussion thread dedicated to the mergers will have the opposite effect and will cause more issues. As @AlexanderTheGreat@lemmy.world has mentioned below, the Xbox, Nintendo, and PS5 mods are all friendly and are working to foster great console gaming communities across Lemmy.
