Hi all. Wanting to buy my grandad his first ever smart phone for his 80th birthday. My husband came across an iPhone 5c in a reputable second hand tech store chain but when he went to buy it the guy behind the counter said we wouldn’t be able to FaceTime my grandad on the iPhone 5c because of out of date iOS updates. I have an iPhone 11 and husband has iPhone 13. Is that true? The whole point is so I can FaceTime my grandparents and send them pictures.

It won't work. An iPhone X or 8 would go for less than 150 euro/dollar. That would be a better buy if you're going as cheap as possible.
