Poles strikes me as the guy to draft a QB for his job security above all else.

The timing is decent for a rookie QB clock reset, and you better believe he’s kicking the tires on Williams and Maye and hoping he likes what he hears from them.

Yeah if he doesn’t take one in my mind that means he’s hitching his wagon to Fields and he may not want to do that even though I feel better about keeping Fields and addressing OL/DL than spending a top pick on a new QB
