Hey my new phone is keeps loading and its been doing this for about 45 minutes and I dont know what to do

I was transferring my data from my old phone and my old phone got a notification and I by accidentally clicked on it while my phone said it was preparing to update. It was almost done but still it wont load up. Is this supposed to happen?
