I miss the days of when our biggest concern was when W would say something and we collectively said, "dafuq did he just say?!" But then we continued on with our day.

I naively thought Obama would address that, but the finger banging and torture continue. We just don't talk about it much anymore.

Bro I was piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiised when he said

I thank President Bush for his service to our Nation

instead of charging him for warcrimes.

It was the Obama presidency that completely disillusioned me of making any real change via election. I wish I could explain how much I poured my heart into campaigning for Obama in 08. The progressive who campaigned was not the same as the conservative we got in office.

I realize it's better than the alternative, and we did see some small progress for LGBTQ+ rights and the tiniest glimmer of hope in DACA, but nothing that could gloss over the many atrocities he signed off on.
