Marinated tofu, double dredged with oatbuttermilk (oatmilk + vinegar), coated with breadcrumbs and seasoning, cooked in air fryer. Basmati rice on the side.

I've never seen air fried stuff look so delicious like fried food. Any tips to get that crispy gold look and texture?

Panko and oil. I think some people are scared of putting oil in the air fryer since it's meant to be 'healthier' and whatnot, but any excess falls to the bottom anyway. I personally err on the side of a bit too much oil; for this dish I poured some onto each individual piece at the beginning, and then again after turning them half way through the cook. It's also a good idea to cook hot, my machine goes up to 200 C and I pretty much always use full blast.

Really the only thing I've struggled to get crispy is fresh fries, though I might just be overcrowding the tray.

You know that makes a ton of sense. I'll give it a try next time I cook.
