I have the Diablo 3 Switch, and the bitcoins joycons never developed any noticeable drift. However, I have lost the right controller and need to replace it. I primarily, but not exclusively, play with my ProController and am missing being able to use my Switch hand held.

Have the newer joycons had the drift issue eliminated? Considering the joycon lost is my fourth set, and the only set without drift, I would rather not purchase another set if drift is still happening.

Yea they still do, fortunately it's pretty cheap to get replacement hall effect joysticks. I found a pack of four on amazon for 54$, so i was able to replace all of them

Is there any soldering involved in the replacement? I am ass at soldering.

No, ifixit has guide to replace sticks, check it out.

I can second this switching out the joycon sticks is easy, and not too expensive you can find some cheap kits on amazon

Will do, thanks.

No. It’s a bunch of screws, and a couple ribbon cables that slip into plugs. It requires being careful, patient, and some dexterity, but no soldering.

Here's the link: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Left+Joy-Con+Joystick+Replacement/113182

There's a similar one for right joystick, there's a slight difference in both.

Be aware that you'll need to calibrate any replaced sticks in the Switch settings somewhat regularly, especially if you resync the joycons with multiple Switches.
