It really would seem that there's no way to recover your account now, I saw a video by someone who deliberately sacrificed a Minecraft account to see what would happen, and that seemed to be his conclusion, that it's just lost and you have to buy the game again.
We stole from you. Was this helpful?
Fuck it I guess, I will not be paying them again.
Have you ever played Minetest? It's supposed to be like a FOSS alternative to Minecraft.
No but I wouldn't be opposed to it. The problem would be trying to convince all my friends to migrate from the Minecraft server they're already playing on.
I know if I dig my heels one of them will gift me a Minecraft account, but fuck that, that's letting the Microsoft terrorists win so I'll just keep my mouth shut I suppose.
piracy is an option, though I do think the possibility of viruses might be concerning there
If any of your friends are cool they’ll join a Minetest server you host after you explain how Microsoft stole from you and you don’t want to reward Microsoft for that.
I dream of a day when everyone migrates to minetest, and mod developers port their mods, and Minecraft can have a second golden age.
Minetest is already feature pairity except for some UI smoothing out
