The series is canon within the Fallout continuity. Howard wanted an original story, instead of an adaptation of the games,[10] though the series discreetly continues game storylines and factions, such as the Brotherhood of Steel.

That has nothing to do with them completely botching the location of Shady Sands.

It would have worked if it was Adytum. Maaaaaybe even the Hub. But not Shady Sands.
