Peertube is a video and streming platform (like youtube) and owncast a streaming platform (like twitch) that are FOSS, self-hostable and connected to the Fediverse. Although I don't think getting any amount of viewers on those platforms will be any easier.

If it's free and open source and it's also software, it can be discussed here. Subcommunity of Technology.

Is D-Tube still a thing? But i agree - the adoption rage is rather low
that is good to know.
There is peertube, and for twitch I mean owncast exists... Odysee is also highly recommended.
Odysee is also highly recommended.

so would you suggest i try odysee what kind of stuff is even on there?
I would definitely suggest it. Just keep in mind not all the content you can find on YT is on Odysee yet. But I've found content ranging from tech/programming/linux all the way to gardening guides and discussions
There's PeerTube, and there's also LBRY.
Honestly, if you're someone making gaming videos, it's hard to find an audience in other platforms.
If you're looking for peertube instances to check out, I suggest TILvids and diode.zone. You can also search for videos, channels and playlists across every instance through Sepia Search.
There is also GNU Media Goblin that the FSF commonly uses. Federating it is on the roadmap but I'm no sure it has happened yet. I think it is possible to get their casting apps too but I have not tried.
