Insane. This was one of those games that I thought will stay in EA forever. How long has it been, like 12 years?

At this point it feels like an attempt to be talked about again
Or to bump up the price by twenty bucks. And it still won't be finished, either - stuff like the story and bandits will come in future updates after 1.0.
Feel like this is one of those games that’s super fun but flawed to a point you can’t fix it. Like the last time I played without any cheesy strats, I found myself not wanting to build anymore because the exploders would destroy everything so building a base was pointless.
We’d just find a random gas station or something and just remove any way the dudes could climb up. It’s fun for a bit but after a while you’re just shooting fish in a barrel.
Doesnt help that the combat is unresponsive and janky as fuck anyway, so playing without cheese is an excercise of frustration.
This game has been in Early Access so long it’s lost all meaning. Good for the devs, I guess, to continue to put time and energy into the game for so long.
Alpha to Bet...Full release! Yeah that's exactly how development goes! I played it 8 ish years ago and have like 600 hours in it. I still follow the release changelogs it and played it here and there but it's still 100% in Alpha. I feel they ran or are running out of money and by releasing it and increasing price will let them get free advertisement and therefore sales. Is it a bad game? No, just needs tons more work.
Lol, comments off on the youtube video...cowards.
I have hundreds of hours into this game, but man did this dev team wear me down and out. The constant, huge game changing development is the reason this has taken over 10 years to get to this point. Someone needed a bit better of exploration in their direction when they started.
Leaving early access?
Are they sure its time?
Its only been...11 years
Surely thats not enough time to get this puppy fully baked?

No way?
I wish they would bring back the game settings that gave us the major customizations.
Oh wow. I remember a friend being into this forever ago. Had no idea it was still in early access. That’s nuts!
Not sure why it's getting so much hate. Sure it's been in early access forever, but if you look at the progress they've made since conception its come a long way. Also they didnt just abandon it likes countless other games when they could've easily made it a cashgrab.
Vanilla is kinda ass still I will admit. The only real way to play it is with overhaul mods which take the game to a new level, and adds so much qol, replayability and general balancing. I'd highly recommend darkness falls, or undead legacy overhauls through 7dtd modlauncher. There are plenty of other overhauls but those are the highest quality imo
Personally, I don't think 7DTD is ready for a 1.0, there are stability and performance issues still plaguing this game. It's possible the Fun Pimps could fix those glaring issues before 1.0 in June, but stability and performance have been a recurring issue in every version of their Alpha releases. Sure, the game at least has enough content to mostly qualify for a 1.0. They could always add new things via updates (if they don't abandon the title post-1.0).
Sony wouldn't release their asymmetrical version without the mainline game being finished first.
I remember spending my last free summer playing this. Was 2016 and joined a server and even became mod. It's been 7 years now, finally leaving the EA lol
