This isn't kbin, but whatever helps kbin helps lemmy too
sh.itjust.works Main Community
Home of the sh.itjust.works instance.
And that's amazing. One community and infinite platforms.
Or a web of infinite communities and 5 sets of platforms
Can we subscribe to kbin magazines from Lemmy? They're like their communities or subreddits, right?
Yeah you can. But be aware that Kbin uses a different format. So if they link something like @magazine@kbin.social
, you need to change it to [!magazine@kbin.social](/c/magazine@kbin.social)
in order to access it.
I can’t get my lemmy instance to discover kbin.social communities as of yet. Not sure what the issue is. I think their cloudflare config is buggered and causing issues with federation or something.
I would love this. Today I started /m/DunderMifflin on Kbin and I’d love to be able to just dupe submissions from Reddit until this site gets big enough.
Although almost all /r/DunderMifflin posts are images so be sure to factor that in!
This. I see a lot of posts that seem to be hoping reddit will have a change of heart and then everyone can return. It is better long term to create a home that can't be ruined by corporate/government turds.
Good idea, but reposting isn't going to be enough. What makes Reddit also good is the discussions that happen in the comments, so go on commenting everyone!
I know the consensus for twitter-to-mastodon bots was a big fat "no". Maybe the link aggregation nature of lemmy/reddit makes it more palatable though.
