I just wanna bump for visibility, since I don't have much advice on the actual drugs. Depending on where you are, trying different pharmacies (pretty far away) have been the best bet for friends also experiencing this. Sometimes stores like Costco, Wal-Mart, and grocery stores have them in stock but they won't disclose that over the phone, so you'd have to ask in person. Hopefully someone can chime in with better advice, best of luck comrade!

What is Neurodivergence?
It's ADHD, Autism, OCD, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, bi-polar, aspd, etc etc etc etc

So, it’s very broad, if you feel like it describes you then it does as far as we're concerned
Rules
1.) ableist language=post or comment will probably get removed (enforced case by case, some comments will be removed and restored due to complex situations). repeated use of ableist language=banned from comm and possibly site depending on severity. properly tagged posts with CW can use them for the purposes of discussing them
2.) always assume good faith when dealing with a fellow nd comrade especially due to lack of social awareness being a common symptom of neurodivergence
2.5) right to disengage is rigidly enforced. violations will get you purged from the comm. see rule 3 for explanation on appeals
3.) no talking over nd comrades about things you haven't personally experienced as a neurotypical chapo, you will be purged. If you're ND it is absolutely fine to give your own perspective if it conflicts with another's, but do so with empathy and the intention to learn about each other, not prove who's experience is valid. Appeal process is like appealing in user union but you dm the nd comrade you talked over with your appeal (so make it a good one) and then dm the mods with screenshot proof that you resolved it. fake screenies will get you banned from the site, we will confirm with the comrade you dm'd.
3.5) everyone has their own lived experiences, and to invalidate them is to post cringe. comments will be removed on a case by case basis depending on determined level of awareness and faith
4.) Interest Policing will not be tolerated in any form. Support your comrades in their joy!

I've only ever taken Adderall, so I can't compare it to the other meds.
My son takes it too, he is on 20mg and I'm on 30. We are currently getting it through Kroger pharmacy, and they've only delayed refill for supply issues one time, and they got more the next day. They have their own coupon program, so I pay slightly less than I was paying through GoodRx at Rite-Aid and Walmart; it's about $21 for son's prescription and $23 for mine, versus $27-30ish with GoodRx.
We have had much less issue with supply this year than we did last year, but I don't know if that's because we're using a different pharmacy or because there's a greater supply available.
We originally were going through Rite-Aid because there was one close to my son's school, and they were happy to take telehealth prescriptions from doctors on the other side of the state. (Sometimes huge corporate chains have a limited radius from which they'll accept a controlled substance prescription.) That Rite-Aid closed down, so we switched to one a few towns away, but the staff were absolute shitheads in person.
I'm not trying to get shamed for being a queer-looking person wanting to pick up my fucking prescription in rural Ohio, so I switched to Walmart, which is closer to the university and thus more accustomed to people who don't look like the average kkkracker. Walmart had consistent supply issues and needed to reinput the GoodRx stuff every time (which was a hassle and they tended to be very pissy about), so we only used them for two months before switching to Kroger.
Advice: Switch doctors if your current one is being weird about your legitimate need for medication for your actual, diagnosed disorder. I'm going through ADHDOnline right now, and it's very low-stress and easy.
Tips & Tricks:
- try to be the nicest, easiest, most appreciative customer anyone has seen that day, it really will get people on your side and make them want to help you, which can make a huge difference
- sometimes the generic is out but they have name brand in stock, and they just assume no one wants to pay for it; if they say they're out, ask about name brand and tell them you know it's gonna be more expensive, you just really need your medication (this got me a partial fill of the generic last summer - the tech felt bad for me and got the pharmacist to dispense what they had instead of just telling me to fuck off until they had a whole month's supply)
- the closer to a university your pharmacy is, the harder it tends to be to get your prescription, especially if you're using a very large chain - if you're having trouble, try using a smaller chain (or a mom-and-pop, if you've got good enough insurance to cover the lack of coupon program) or going to a smaller town nearby
