Not that there were a lot of people still masking anyways, but there was one person who sits next to me that was still masking until today. He just walked in bare faced and it really made my stomach sink…

Edit: came in this week and they have their mask back on… not sure why they took it off on last week, but happy to see it back on.

I'm sorry to hear that comrade. I'm in the same boat in my classes (and more depressingly in my communist party group). My mother's the only masker at her work too. Very shitty feeling

So disheartening, my partner and I are the only remaining maskers it seems. My family is even getting to the point where they are questioning if the vaccines are what is causing “long covid”. I hate this shit.

Same here. There are two guys who wear a mask if they're feeling sick (which is better than nothing, but still, come on), but most people just walk around coughing all the time. "Allergies", yeah dude you had allergies in the middle of January too?

I would think they'd wear a mask to keep allergens out of their airway, but I'm just a human who understands the first thing about how allergies work shrug-outta-hecks

There is a guy that puts in a mask to go outside because of allergies, then takes it off when he comes inside lol.

what the fuck they almost always end up more concentrated indoors without active filtration!

Yeah, the logic perplexes me.

I guess I'm lucky. There are still a few people who mask where I work, and a lot of our customers still mask, and seem to appreciate how many employees are still masking. I would guess like 10% of people mask during the spring/summer, and 20-25% in the fall/winter.

I haven't been sick in nearly two years, it's great. Before covid it was roughly once every two or three months, and most of winter. At this point, even if covid went away I wouldn't stop. Work isn't worth getting sick for.

I was remote through most of the pandemic, as soon as I got this job a year and half ago, I’ve been one of two people with masks. The culture is extremely “get back to normal” in the company, but I’ll continue to eat outside and mask inside.

Me too. Also having trouble getting my oldest to mask at school.
