They should sign their houses over to the government to cover the cost of these government services they want to access to rather than tax workers.

Maybe if we could get the multinationals to pay a fraction of tax we could afford it.

Or even the mineral corpos. We almost had it.

And the sad part is young people keep voting for these dishonest clowns who are going to suck your wallet dry.

Who needs more help - somebody who had worked their entire life and saved, paid off their home, kids moved out long ago. . .

Or

A thirty year old, not yet in their prime earning years trying to raise 3 kids while paying off their mortgage and car loan.

Wake up Australia

Hilarious you post this but also hype conservative nonsense

[–] admin@exploding-heads.com -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Conservatives care about our kids and do not think they should have to pay for our wasteful spending.

My generation benefits from this largess, so go ahead and pay if you want. But as a parent and grandparent I would prefer to see you spend this money on creating a healthy environment for you and your kids.

But believe me when I tell you our generation has had the opportunity to save, pay off our house, pay off our car, have the kids move out.

I still remember, life was a lot tougher financially when our family was young.

But if you want to pay, go ahead. The government will never say no.

Life was tougher financially

You really are showing how out of touch you are with reality.

reality has a “left wing” bias.

[–] admin@exploding-heads.com -2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

So tell me what reality is, I listening

[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

reality is boomers had it good. they paid pennies for college. they paid pennies for houses. And they have the gall to call the next generation lazy.

[–] admin@exploding-heads.com -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I agree. So why do you want the younger generation to pay this tax surcharge that will benefit us boomers.

I'm confused.

[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

your generation is the reason this is happening

[–] admin@exploding-heads.com -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

But you keep insisting on paying the tax surcharge.

[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

when will you accept blame for destroying this world for the next generation
