What do you mean? Recall was never a savestate system or anything like that, ね? It just takes screenshots.
Showerthoughts
A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.
Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:
- Both “200” and “160” are 2 minutes in microwave math
- When you’re a kid, you don’t realize you’re also watching your mom and dad grow up.
- More dreams have been destroyed by alarm clocks than anything else
Rules
- All posts must be showerthoughts
- The entire showerthought must be in the title
- No politics
- If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
- A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
- Posts must be original/unique
- Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS
If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.
Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.
lol, cute use of ね
Care to explain?
The symbol "ね" (ne) in this text is a Japanese particle often used at the end of a sentence to seek agreement or confirmation from the listener, similar to adding "right?" or "isn't it?" in English. In this context, it indicates that the speaker is looking for confirmation or agreement about the statement they just made. So, the sentence could be interpreted as:
"What do you mean? Recall was never a savestate system or anything like that, right? It just takes screenshots."
So why not just say THAT??? Gotta learn terminal if you want to use linux.....gotta learn japanese if you want to use lemmy.....where does it end???
I figure the sentence is perfectly understandable with or without it, but it's a fun little extra for anyone that knows some Japanese. Besides, this is the internet, why keep ourselves bound to just one language, ね?
Is it your first time seeing a weeaboo?
...........a what? You mean a weeble-wobble?
Hey, I resemble that remark.
I want a screenshot of Windows Update
...what?
HE SAID HE WANTS A SCREENSHOT OF WINDOWS UPDATE!!!
He wants to update the screenshot
they want to shoot the update screen windows
Imagine if you had a bunch of screenshots of every update you installed. You could compare those dates with the official release dates and figure out if your computer was a test subject.
It will take screenshot of BSOD
Can't. Runs in userspace
I thought it was just a screen capture of whatever you were doing at some set frequency. So like if you forgot to save that document you were typing up it could recal some of it. Or some nonsense like that, doesn't everything have a recovery mode or unsaved changes these days?
I'm just imagining it saving the updating screen
