This is cool and all but the idea that public services need to make a profit is such a miserable outlook. It's like "why aren't the libraries profitable" type shit

What this says is that this route has loads of potential and could handle many more trains on it.

100%. Roads do not make profits or even break even. They're a huge cost that all taxpayers are just supposed to gladly subsidize. But it is nice to see that this rail expansion meets the arguably unrealistic expectation put on rail in less than two weeks.
