Irving Finkel, crucially, has a most excellent beard but has also done a lot of work in this area. He's got a book, tv show and a few lectures on the Ark that may be of interest.

Irving Finkel is great. I loved what a good sport he was in Cunk on Earth.... But not as good a sport as Belgian techno-anthem Pump Up The Jam
