Jitney bus:

a small bus that carries passengers over a regular route on a flexible schedule

Neat

There's also a secondary meaning of "an unlicensed taxicab".

Most of the time, Everett overreacts, but he isn’t entirely wrong. This is one of those times.

We had Jitneys here growing up, but I had always thought they were just a shore thing. Then one day I tried to look them up, and found basically everything but the ones I knew!

Ha yeah my first thought was "Hang on, does Everett live down the shore?"

X3 spoilersWhen I was a kid and watching X3 in the theater a man came in late and sat next to me. He looks at me and points to Jean Gray and excitedly asks "Did she kill the professor yet?" I just look at him and shake my head, "No." What a fucking dumb thing to do.
