Just don't use airport wifi if you travel within the country

An international airport is like the one place where I might connect to a public wifi. Maybe I've just landed and don't have a local SIM yet? Or could be I'm on a stopover and only here for a few hours?

This is why I stressed "within the country"

First thing a WA liberal has come out on in about a decade that i agree with.

In light of another post on the community, i'm questioning myself.

Am I falling for some populist drivel here, or is this an actual problem being highlighted?

public wifi is usually a massive data siphoning device. People think hey yay free and connect and go ham and don't realise that everything you do on that wifi is being recorded.

it IS standard and it's still bullshit, I have no idea why it's now being considered a problem when they were fine to let it skate by for years despite privacy advocates yelling their heads off
