Man, I just wrote a huge thing that had clever bullet points and everything. And then accidentally hit back and it's all gone. Ugh.

Looks good. I'm glad they finally managed to achieve thier elusive goal of turning Bowser into a flying talking castle.

Game looks like a great time mechanically and I expect it'll be one of my favorite games this year.

I absolutely hate the way Yoshi's lower jaw extends when they have an enemy in their mouth in this showing.

Honestly I don't love the designs for characters they've gone with in this game (just the main playable character cast). Something about them just strikes me as slightly off, but that may be in service of the NSMB-series-on-drugs approach to this game.

I thnik it's 2D eyes floating just above the 3D model. Somehow, they look chibi without being chibi. I like the strong emphasis on pose rather than smooth movement, that's cool

Concerns?

Between the elephants and this, I think Miyamoto might have an inflation fetish.

Also, this poor Yoshi.

Giantism fetish, is what I think they call it.

This looks better than any 2-D mario since the GBA re-release era. can't wait.

But it has me wondering... how long is the Nintendo Switch lifecycle going to last? I'm still using the model that first released and it's showing a lot of signs of aging - the fan is also starting to fuck up when playing newer games. I know Nintendo's probably worried about another flop like what happened during the Wii -> Wii U transition, but I can't imagine them putting out a "Switch 2" or something any time soon.
