Summary

The EU has demanded that Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter) provide internal documents about its algorithms by February 15, amid an investigation under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

The probe focuses on whether X has amplified far-right posts and politicians while suppressing others, raising concerns over election fairness.

Musk, accused of meddling in European politics, has called the criticism an attack on democracy and free speech.

Finally. We've let these fuckers operate as black boxes for far too long.

Get your ass algorithms out in the open so they can be regulated or close up fucking shop, assholes.

It's not a fucking trade-secret, it's hiding behind ideas like trade-secrets so they can operate with impunity to alter what people see in their feeds however they want and however benefits them most.

This is what the US should have been doing to Tiktok, but the reality is they need to be doing it to all social media.

As a software developer I’m pretty confident that X could hand over every piece of documentation they have and we’d all be non the wiser as to how it works.

The algorithm is the whims of Elon's opportunistic and dishonest brain
