I had a restful positive day today . I feel can face tomorrow.

Goodnight everyone, love you all. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Catching up with one of my old bosses for lunch today. I'm kinda nervous. I must come across as much better off having left their organisation that wronged me towards the end and set up on my own (which is the truth anyway). I've only ever burned bridges with past employers so this is a new situation for me to be in.

Today I am listening to some classic electronic and ambient music

Oxygene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlURDUaB27o

Been a while since I've heard Jean. Really good stuff. Hugely impacted EDM.

On oxygene just two of the synths he used today (not his actual ones they'd be worth a fortune) is close $100k which is nuts.

Here's one:

These days you can emulate it on the 'puter for $20 (and get close to the sound 'but never quite there').

electronic music was different then, seemed simpler

But I'm very far from knowing anything, it's just how I experience it as a listener

"and get close to the sound โ€˜but never quite there" , humans are just incredible at discerning differences in sound

Coles was out of watermelon when I went to the shops earlier but they had "yellow watermelon". I've never seen yellow watermelon in my life and it was the only option, so I purchased. It's quite nice, refreshing on a hot evening. Tastes pretty much the same.

Got my Edifier headphones today and I have a good first impression of them. Audio over USB just worked and I've connected them to my phone and work computer over bluetooth. Audio quality is pretty good. Honestly, you can't complain for $60 that are just going to be work headphones

I read the local papers from cities i used to live and read the most heartbreaking story from Detroit. A woman let two of her children die of the cold, she just had too many children, they all lived in a van and she couldn't look after them. It's like something out Gorky's My Childhood. She could have gotten help, it's not like there is none, but I expect she was depressed and isolated. ๐Ÿ˜”

I had a rather vivid but weird dream that I mostly can't remember except it involved having to take a break on a road trip somewhere subtropical due to heavy rain and being welcomed at a stranger's place where they had us sit down for dinner with them and it was jovial and lovely. The guy was a taxi driver.

The most memorable part was that the guy started making tomato sauce using powder from a packet ๐Ÿค”

I had a dream about finding my boyfriends pyjamas in the form of wide leg jeans in Cotton On (they're really awesome Catzilla jamis) and while I was contemplating buying them I discovered that a boba tea place in Eastland was actually using their tea to fuel experiments and making people deranged. Then I ate ramen with some random people and when I went to pack up my duffle bag, there was sooo much random stuff in it that I'd never seen before.

Dreams are so weird.

That's actually pretty rad. I love me some deranged tea conspiracies - out of Eastland no less. Now I need to look for these jammies...

Itโ€™s been a while since Iโ€™ve posted YouTube links on Lemmy, (like as a post and not in comments).

Maybe forget but, I copy link from YouTube and paste into the URL section in the create post page and normally generates a post title automatically that I just click on

That doesnโ€™t seem to work now? Am I forgetting something?

I had to reset my online access to the libraries. Looking at my history I canโ€™t even remember half the books in it.
