Is anyone else thoroughly sick of politicians constantly calling for resignations every time a mistake is made?

It sounds like the school lunch thing is a royal cockup, and I'm not defending it, but calling for a resignation over this is a bit silly.

"The Minister should resign" is a bit like "does the Minister stand by all his statements"; basically a staple of the Westminster system.

Speaking of staples, I'm not sure about how "not woke" it is, but weirdly small amounts of Teriyaki chicken don't seem particularly sensible or filling.

No, definitely not. And school aged kids, especially boys, eat a lot.

This is true... My 3 boys seem to consume approximately everything that isn't nailed down.

Everyone needs to at that age because their bodies and brains are developing.

My memories of high school are of everyone there eating constantly. Adults used to accuse me of having "hollow legs".

Same here, same joke.

I think the better idea is to sweat him, not calling for his resignation.

Why did they choose this company, which has been fined in the past for not fulfilling their contracts WRT this kind of thing?
How did he expect to supply the same quality of service for significantly less money?
If he didn't expect to get the same quality, why was this an acceptable option?
Is the goal of this to promote education, or is this just political ass covering?

Yep, I definitely agree with you there.

The issue with calling for resignations over everything, in my view, is people dismiss your concerns out of hand, whereas if you criticised the minister in question and said they should perhaps apologise, people would listen to your concerns.

Yep, and the chance of the leader of a party resigning is asymptomaticly low.

We know the answer to that question.

Corruption. Dig deep enough and you'll find the money flow.

@Ilovethebomb this guy looks like he cares about school lunches...

David Seymour should resign because he is a sadistic MAGA idiot who wants to harm the population of New Zealand so that him and his benefactors can get richer.
