best friend lived near Austin before dying of liver failure 2018. always reminds me of him. probably tried some butthole surfing. ran wild as kids. lost contact when we both joined the army. almost tracked him down after 30 years but his dad told me he died 3 months earlier. gut punch. RIP David.
