Absolutely, bring it in.

For what it’s worth, I miss my dad, too. I find new things about him in me all the time, all these years later. I look a lot like him, and my kids look a lot like me, and like him by extension. I can’t talk to him anymore, but I can still see him if I look.

I can give you an internet hug and I hope that takes just the tiniest bit of the longing away.

For what it's worth, it does ease a bit with time.
