Except the whole thing with don't dead open inside was that we read left to right, so the truck in the image is right

The op picture has two dividers and quite a bit of white space between the left and right, making the reading order look like two columns

The"whole thing" isn't that left to right versus top to bottom is correct; it's that the intended reading order is different from the natural reading order.

The text can be in any permutation, so long as the natural and intended orders don't agree with each other.
