What gets me is that either this was freehand, or the person with the tattoo looked at a drawing of this and said "yeah, that's what I want".

No, dumb dumb the wing is on the left side of the plane. It helps it turn better /s
I wonder if it looks correct if they turn their arm into the same position it was inked in. My tattoo artists always asks me how I want my arm positioned when applying the stencil because in every other position it will be warped.
