Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

This behavior is so incredibly annoying. For example, supporting the exploitation of the global south and installing fascist dictators in power because it benefits them, and doesn't negatively affect them.

Anti-fascist/anti-imperialist only when they're the victim, lol.

The almost non-existent middle class is primarily comprised of high paid individual contributors. The people exploiting the global south are the upper class.

Fair point. Didn't mean to sound ignorant or apathetic, sorry.

No worries. I didn’t read it that way. There’s just a lot of bourgeoisie hate, when it’s the aristocrats that are the problem. Had we a sizable middle class they could be a concern, but it’s the ignorant half of the proletariat begging for their own demise that voted in fascism.

Seems like every day the posts on Lemmy start blaming people who can do nothing to fix this and did their best to stop it but were overwhelmed by an international club of authoritarians. And now we few who are not targeted are being blamed for being ourselves.

Give us a path that we can take to change shit. Fucking Christ, I can only plan so many minor friction points in my fields of expertise to slow down the march. Now I'm being blamed for cooperating.

Fucking hell. This is why the movement doesn't grow or counter anything - the aggressive blaming of people who are trying to do the right thing.

I admire you sentiment. And you seem to have a lot of frustration. So, I am going to annoy you with why most people involved in politics in the USA cannot stop what is happening.

There is a major barrier to currently participating inside reformist politics in the USA. One has to assume the institutions are solid enough to be reformed by peaceful protests. And one has to assume the voting for the politicians in most states were done fairly and accurately. Those that think otherwise are simply not part of the process you are familiar with, and have no headway in changing stuff.

This means the current crop of well known political activists and leaders are worthless for constructive change. And the rank and file have no good leaders. Those seeking for inspiration, such as yourself, remain uninspired.

I do not think this situation can be changed, in the near future. I am sorry. There are powerful reasons this cannot change

Oh shut up, this is not true, the middle class doesn’t fucking exist in the first place and this splintering at every single point is why fascism roots have grown so deep

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

GFY.

I voted against this insanity. I've marched in protest.

I'm actually concerned that myself and many people I know may end up in "camps"/El Salvador prison just for voting Democratic.

People are in the middle class?

[–] Professorozone@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Yup, you just start with a SMALL fortune. Boom drop right down into middle class.

[–] curiousaur@reddthat.com 1 points 2 months ago

I'm pretty sure I am.

[–] Professorozone@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

I'm a white middle class liberal and I assure you IT IS AFFECTING ME!

[–] Goodmorningsunshine@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

I don't think I'd put women of any class or even political affiliation in the "unaffected" group at this point, though of course any conservative woman can get fucked three ways from Sunday.

Liberals

I don't want fascism, but have you considered that minorities I don't like are at risk of getting rights?

[–] Zizzy@lemmy.blahaj.zone -3 points 2 months ago

Its not even true, theyre just too dumb/blinded/whatever to see that it is negatively impacting them.
