A friend of mine was given a laptop with a busted screen. Almost โ of the screen was a garbled useless mess.
He couldn't afford a new screen, so what did he do? He tossed it in the freezer overnight ๐๐คฃ
And I'll be damned if it didn't significantly improve the situation. Sure that does absolutely nothing to fix the cracks, but it sure did make the screen about 98% visible and usable after that.

It wasn't a touchscreen laptop if that's what you're thinking, it was a busted LCD.
Wouldn't the keys be cold.
It wasn't like he left it in the freezer, the screen kept the much improved condition even after it fully thawed out and reached room temperature.
I told him to count himself lucky and set it on a table or desk and if at all possible, never flex the screen hinges again.
