The Lemmy learning curve is too steep. Even if all those users switched over a single malicious actor can take down an entire Lemmy instance.

Honestly I kind of prefer it to have a learning curve. I hate to sound like a hipster but Reddit went to shit as soon as it became ultra-mainstream when covid hit

Yeah, I love Lemmy so far but there have been some issues that I know normal social media users would not be willing to learn.
