Isn't there already a remaster? I came around this one from the KDE discovery.
It's not really a remaster, it's an open-source re-implementation. But I guess it could be used as a base for a remaster
Who needs a remaster? This is perfect.
Are we going to have a community that is focused on gaming discussion and another focused on memes and low-effort posts? Or are they going to be combined?
idk about you but this is a valid question that could be discussed if you werent so full of yourself

Agreed because I don’t like the OP for being a low effort meme, but also I feel like if there’s a community you’re interested in, just go make it.
Especially as people migrate off of Reddit and Lemmy grows. Anyone coming from Reddit who was interested in games knows there is a demand for a discussion/news based community like r/games

Yeah, as long as we're using an upvote system, those need to be split so the articles and discussion posts don't get drowned out in a sea of easily-consumed and quickly-upvoted low-content posts. I know I would personally really prefer having a proper feedly-style community with a bunch of articles and discussions than another gaming meme one that could basically be a bot linked to an instagram feed.
so, god knows there's enough games communities across the various larger instances right now but, even so... maybe we should start a /c/gamingdiscussion?

I just tried it, and wow, that is really bad actually. Genuinely much worse than finding a download of the original version.

I did play the hell out of this game back in the day, but there was an even older one that only worked in dos mode. I can't remember the name, but I loved that version.

I played a similar table on Virtual Pinball X. It was a lot of fun.
No need to remaster perfection
So many hours spent playing this game when I was a kid.
I'm pretty sure I still have that on a 3.5" floppy somewhere. I also have a 3.5" drive that could read it, but I have nothing I could plug it into.
Will it have paid day-one DLC? Online leaderboards and rankings? NFTs? Requires constant online connectivity? Battlepass with flipper cosmetics?

You can't remaster that which is already perfection
Nah, perfection was Pinball Dreams on the Amiga, way superior to everything on PC/Windows for a decade. Which is probably equivalent to about a 100 years if it was a car.
