I’ve got an Air and haven’t regretted it despite tossing up between a pro. Find a hub is perfectly fine, especially as my monitor doesn’t travel much so I can leave it at the desk.

That’s my setup right now. You might want a trackpad, since control+zoom isn’t a thing on Mac and there’s no workaround, but pinch zoom works everywhere.
