The UK’s largest Pride organisers have suspended political party participation in their events in “unequivocal solidarity” with the transgender community.

In a joint statement, the organisers of Pride events in Birmingham, Brighton, London and Manchester said the move was a “direct call for accountability and a refusal to platform those who have not protected our rights” after the UK supreme court ruling last month.

The highest court in the UK ruled that the terms “woman” and “sex” in the Equality Act 2010 refer only to a biological woman and to biological sex. Five judges ruled unanimously that the legal definition of a woman in the act did not include transgender women who hold gender recognition certificates.

Quite right. But I can't help but notice how The Guardian gives the last word in this article (for three paragraphs) to the transphobes.

As the guardian usually does

TERF quotes always show how deluded they are. Men don't use women's only areas so they're crying over a non-issue, but the insinuation that men can't be raped kind of deserves banishment or, failing that, silencing. That kind of behaviour gets people hurt and I cannot forgive those who cause harm to the innocent.

I thought I found a good newspaper, but I put them in the trash with the rest when all the reporting came out about Luigi and it was all Corporate bullshit but here’s another good reason to avoid them thank you

It was a good newspaper once. It drifted from left to center left over the decades but I feel like it became more reactionary since the intelligence services crushed their hard drives for reporting on Edward Snowden's leaks and Alan Rusbridger resigned as editor.
